The game of Snooker was invented here at Narbudda Club(then officer’s mess of the 11th Devonshire Regiment) in 1875 by Sir Neville Chamberlain, a British Army Officer who lived in Royal hotel now a dilapidated building opposite RTOs office Govind Bhavan.
